Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi ministry of health will introduce the first privatization project in the sector this year, in the fields of laboratories, pharmacy clinics, radiotherapy, rehabilitation treatment, extended care, home care, and supply chain.
The committee tasked with handling privatizations in the health sectors commenced its work two months ago, according to deputy minister for planning and transformation, Khalid Al Shaibani, who is also the director of the ministry’s vision realization office.
Medical insurance is a major pillar in the transformation programme, Al Shaibani added in his remarks to the Okaz newspaper on Thursday.
